Nashville, TN
The city of Nashville is the capital of Tennessee, as well as one of the largest cities in the state with a population of half a million people. But it's most famous for being the home of country music.
Every night the city hosts performers in dozens of venues, including clubs, cafes, and concert halls, such as the world-famous Ryman Auditorium and Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
Nashville's rich cultural heritage is kept alive in its many museums, including the Country Music Hall of Fame (a 130,000-square-foot space that documents how country music has evolved) and the Grand Ole Opry Museum. In addition, the Nashville Ballet Company, Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and Nashville Opera Company enliven the city's current cultural scene.
Nashville also has several fine art museums, a science center, botanical gardens, the Nashville Zoo, and Fort Nashborough, a reconstruction of the original settlement in the late 1700s.
Whether you enjoy country or classical music, ballet or botanical gardens, you're sure to enjoy life in Nashville. |
