Many
people believe that baking school is a waste of valuable time that merely delays
the point at which they can start to earn a living. Baking class can supply that
magic ingredient to make employers hungry for more.
Studying in a New York baking class could be the ideal combination for those
willing to "rise" to the challenge.
Things to see and do:
- New York Stock Exchange. This is a "must see" for
anybody visiting New York. You can view the trading floor from a two-tiered
gallery.
- St Paul's Chapel. This is the only existing building in
New York that predates the American revolution. George Washington worshiped
here after his first inauguration.
- Statue of Liberty. No visit to New York would be complete
without seeing this fantastic piece of sculpture.
- Chinatown. If you're serious about your food, then check
out Chinatown, the area is jam packed with restaurants, fine shops, and
fascinating historic sites.
- American Crafts Festival and Tribeca Film Festival. These
are just two of the many events staged in this sprawling metropolis.
Why bother studying in baking classes?
It is really tempting to skip baking school and get on with earning a
living, and your friends and family may be encouraging you to do this. There are
many advantages to investing in culinary arts education as opposed to "on the
job baking classes".
- Baking class tuition. You'll get individual attention to
help you understand methods and processes. In a busy bakery, this is not
always possible.
- Baking School Tutors. These teachers have been trained to
teach, help and encourage students. They are well versed in educational
techniques and have your education as their primary objective.
- Time. Instead of trying to learn in a rushed environment,
bakery classes are designed to follow a logical pattern and to teach you what
you need to know in manageable pieces.
Of course New York never sleeps, so if you're looking for plenty of culture
and entertainment, then baking school in the "home of the bagel" could be just
what you're looking for.
