With a population of around 107,000, Manchester, New Hampshire, is the largest city in northern New England.

Manchester has several universities and colleges, two excellent libraries, and its own airport. While it has a chilly average daily temperature of 15 degrees Fahrenheit in January, it has a pleasant average daily temperature of 70 degrees in July.

Manchester boasts an important history in textiles, and has some excellent sites of interest, including:
  • The Currier Museum of Art
  • Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Zimmerman House
  • Manchester Historic Association Millyard Museum
  • Palace Theater
  • New Hampshire Institute of Art, with changing exhibits in six galleries
  • Vernon Wireless Arena

Manchester also has a professional hockey team, and the beautiful Lake Massabesic Watershed offers a stunning venue for fishing. Pools, parks and walking/bicycle trails are popular most of the year, with skiing being popular in winter.

As a student, there's plenty to enjoy both inside the classroom and out in Manchester.
