Jackson, MS
As Mississippi's capital, Jackson, is rich with history yet also incredibly modern. It was burned in the Civil War but has resurged into a leading southern city with much to offer students and residents.
Area attractions include the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Mississippi, Mississippi Heritage Trust, Mynelle Gardens, and the Jackson Zoo. Residents also enjoy two regional shopping malls, two professional theater groups, and the Jackson Senators baseball club.
