With the convergence of medicine and technology, Baltimore, Maryland offers some of the best technical programs, including 3D animation training and digital 3D design.
Unlike Hollywood, where 3D animation training focuses on special effects, Baltimore's design community focuses on medical technology. One Baltimore medical school uses digital 3D design to construct a patient's face from traditional x-ray projections. Baltimore high school anatomy classes may soon be following suit, by creating alternatives to dissection.
With increasing demand for interactive, digital 3D design in science, the Baltimore region has made 3D animation training more accessible.
Degree Programs in Digital 3D Design
At least a dozen colleges and universities in and around Baltimore offer 3D animation training. Online courses are available for digital 3D design enrollment as well.
Baltimore's 3D animation training opportunities can give you the skills you need to launch a career in digital 3D design. 3D animation training programs include courses in:
- Modeling/animation
- Digital storytelling
- Color theory
- Scriptwriting
These schools typically graduate designers with BA or BS degrees, although some locations also offer associate's degrees.
3D Animation Training Goes a Long Way
Earning a bachelor's degree in 3D digital animation can position you for a great new job in this region. In addition to using it for medicine, the Baltimore community welcomes digital 3D design into the world of contemporary art in its local museums and galleries.
