If you're in the market for a degree in hospitality management, few cities can offer you more program options and career opportunities than Fort Myers, Florida. Situated on the Gulf of Mexico, Fort Myers is one of the most tourist-friendly places you can imagine. Beautiful beaches, five-star restaurants, terrific weather, palm trees, excellent shopping, and historic sites are just some of the reasons why Florida is the most popular vacation destination in the country.
With so many tourist dollars coming in every year, it's easy to see why hospitality management students decide to get their degrees in a bustling city like Fort Myers.
Fort Myers Education
Fort Myers Senior High School was ranked one of the best schools in the entire country by Newsweek. Such accolades help to highlight how seriously Fort Myers takes education. In such an environment, it's easy to see how the local schools and universities push you towards academic excellence and professionalism.
Fort Myers Is A Great Place to Live
Career planning should obviously be the main criterion you use when selecting a potential city and school, but it's also nice to know that Fort Myers is an great place to live. The tourist traffic alone certainly supports this, but if you need further convincing, make sure you check out the Boston Red Sox's spring training.
