Norwalk, CT
The City of Norwalk, Connecticut is a coastal city bounded on the north by the cities of New Canaan and Wilton, on the east by the Long Island Sound, and on the west by the cities of New Canaan and Darien. Today, home to more than 83,000 residents, the city is Connecticut's sixth-largest city.
Over the past decade or so, like many of the small cities in Connecticut, Norwalk has undergone a major revitalization. Improvements include historical preservation, waterfront improvement, construction of office complexes, and the development of shopping and recreational areas.
Since it is just about an hour's drive from New York City, many residents of Norwalk make the commute to New York or other larger cities close by.
The presence of several major employers in Norwalk itself, coupled with the excellent quality of life found there, attracts many people live, work, and study in the city. |
