Food is extremely important to us on very many levels. Without it, we would starve and die. Likewise too much of the wrong type can be extremely bad for our health. Food also forms an integral part of most societies and all cultures celebrate with food.
Here are just some of the reasons we eat:
- Hunger
- Boredom
- Comfort
- Celebrations such as weddings, births, and anniversaries
- Religious celebrations such as Christmas and Easter
Let Them Eat Cake
Most celebrations have a cake as a centerpiece. This can be anything from a homemade birthday cake smothered in sprinkles and dripping with frosting to a grand confection consisting of many tiers of rich dark fruitcake. Most people can whip up a sponge cake, but if you really want to cater for the rich and famous, you'll need to get yourself to baking school and learn your trade in cake baking class. While you're investigating cake baking classes and baking school, don't forget to search for alternative names such as patisserie school (the French name for cake baking clas).
Have Your Cake and Eat It
